The First United Methodist Church of Port Saint Joe
Hurricane Michael, a category 5 hurricane hit the coast of Florida, October 10, 2018. The First United Methodist Church had to be demolished. Phyllis anchored the back pew for 55+ years.
Phyllis’ Sunday School Class was instrumental in the development of the hugely successful Care Closet serving all residents of Gulf County with affordable clothing and accessories . The Care Closet began in 1997.
